At Rising Dawn Ceramics Studio, we welcome anyone and everyone to try pottery. This is a place where mistakes are made, imperfections are welcome, and any skill level can learn and grow.
We are all about digging into creativity with clay. It's our way of molding more than just art; it's a community coming together, getting down and dirty with the joy of making.
All of our classes are located in our Fargo studio at 307 Main Ave.
Funky Mug Class
Get Funky in our Funky Mug Class! Elevate a simple wheel-thrown mug by adding personalized handles, unique decorations, and playful splashes of color. Join us for a pottery session where you can unwind, create, and enjoy the process of making something uniquely yours.
Wheel Throwing Deep Dive
This is a 2 hour class where you will learn centering, raising walls, and how to trim.
This class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
Youth Clay Academy
Youth Clay Academy spans eight sessions and is tailored for budding artists aged 12-17, aiming to provide a well rounded understanding of ceramic arts through hand building and wheel throwing techniques. This class will dive into pinch pots, coiling, slab building, wheel throwing, glazing, and attachment methods, with extra time for practice and project development.
Beginning Ceramics
This 8 session class brings learners through the process of 3 basic hand building techniques, wheel throwing, glazing techniques, and project planning. Ages 16 and up.
Kids Wheel Throwing
In this 1 hour class, young learners will get to experience throwing on the pottery wheel. Students will select a glaze and receive a completed cup or bowl to pick up in 2 weeks.
